Since 2016, the Linz Center of Mechatronics GmbH (LCM) has been involved in cross-mentoring programs.<\/span> It is the mentoring program of the WDF (Business Forum of Executives), in which Gerald Schatz, Managing Director of LCM, has been involved for 2 years.<\/span> This program is aimed at the junior management of the economy and the mentoring program of the network HR 2018, at which both managers of the Linz Center of Mechatronics GmbH, Gerald Schatz and<\/span> Johann Hoffelner, participate.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Cross Mentoring enables professional potential mentees to be accompanied by experienced mentors from other companies and institutions over a period of about 10 months.<\/span> The mentor provides insights into corporate structures and leadership work, creating entirely new learning opportunities for the high-potentials.<\/span> At regular meetings, the professional challenges of mentees are discussed and illuminated from different perspectives. In this process, the wealth of experience of a successful personality is extremely important and supported on the personal career path.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Both managing directors of the Linz Center of Mechatronics GmbH, Gerald Schatz and Johann Hoffelner, participate in the program as mentors. Two colleagues from the Research & Development department of LCM have been included as mentees in the program and use this form of accompaniment for their individual development.<\/span><\/p>\n

For many years now, the Linz Center of Mechatronics GmbH has been actively promoting women especially in the technical field.<\/span> “It is important to us to get women interested in technology and to give them the same career opportunities as men,” says Gerda Klammer, LCM Human Resource Manager.<\/span> For this purpose, interns and diploma students are specifically enrolled to enable them to start their careers as researchers and developers.<\/span> Feminine talent is explicitly addressed at career fairs and working conditions at LCM are constantly being optimized to make Lifebalance a reality.<\/span> Participation in cross-mentoring programs is a further complement to these successful measures.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
